Live Streaming Production for the CAT Live Festival

William Adams CAT Live Festival was a five-hour live virtual event created to connect and engage a national audience through a professionally produced broadcast experience.

NEXTGEN supported the project from pre-production through to live delivery, combining creative planning, scripting, professional audio, multi-camera video, vision switching, outdoor staging, lighting and broadcast technology.

The production needed to work equally well for presenters onsite and viewers watching remotely. Detailed show planning, professional camera production and experienced technical crew helped turn the outdoor event environment into a complete live broadcast production.

Production Highlights

Pre-Production Visualisation: Detailed planning and visualisation helped establish the event environment and align the technical production with the client’s creative vision before the live broadcast.

Professional Event Audio: Onsite audio systems and experienced engineers provided clear sound for presenters, talent and the live production workflow.
Multi-Camera Production: Professional cameras, remote broadcast cameras and teleprompting captured presenters and event content for the national audience.
Live Vision Switching: Multiple camera feeds and content sources were managed in real time to create a dynamic broadcast rather than a single-camera livestream.
Outdoor Stage & Roof: A professional outdoor stage and roof system created the physical setting for the event, with integrated lighting and branding supporting the broadcast environment.
Event Lighting: Professional lighting enhanced presenters, the stage and overall visual quality of the live production.
Show Production & Direction: An onsite producer and director coordinated presenters, cameras, technical cues and the overall show flow throughout the five-hour event.
Technical Crew: Camera operators, technicians and audio engineers managed the production systems from setup through to the live broadcast.
Talent Management: NEXTGEN coordinated MC Brian Taylor’s schedule, production requirements and in-ear communication to support smooth interaction throughout the program.
