The Asia Pacific Regional Conference brought together political, business and industry leaders to explore trade, investment and future opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.
NextGen AV was engaged to deliver the Conference AV production for a multi-day conference program that needed to feel polished, professional and memorable across several event formats. The project included an opening dinner, a two-day plenary conference, breakout room support, a poolside BBQ event and a post-conference function at The Perth Mint.

Our task was:
Create a spectacular opening dinner, 2-day conference, poolside BBQ party and post conference event at The Perth Mint. During the discussions regarding the style, look and agenda of the event it was decided the dinner and plenary events were to be special with the installation of widest curved screen seen in the recently built Crown Ballroom.
The Event Brief
The Challenge
APRC required more than standard AV hire. The conference program moved across different spaces, formats and audience experiences, with each area needing its own technical approach.
The brief included a large plenary room, gala dinner production, breakout rooms, event theming and a smooth transition between conference sessions and evening functions. The client also wanted the major dinner and plenary elements to feel visually impressive, with a large-format screen solution that would create impact in the Crown Ballroom.
For the event team, the priority was simple: every presentation, speaker, visual cue and room change needed to feel controlled, professional and seamless.

Plenary, Breakout Room and Gala Dinner AV Support
NextGen AV provided end-to-end conference AV support across the event program, including plenary conference production, gala dinner AV, large-format widescreen projection, breakout room AV, audio systems for speeches and presentations, visual display systems, lighting, show control and on-site technical support.
A major feature of the project was the 45m x 5.5m curved widescreen display, designed to give the plenary and dinner room a strong visual centrepiece. This helped transform the ballroom from a standard conference environment into a high-impact presentation space suitable for a major international business event.
