ABOUT PROJECT
AMP Melbourne Fashion Week
Collins Place traders have been integral participants in the annual Melbourne Fashion Week (MSFW) for several years, hosting onsite events in the forecourt adjacent to Collins Street.
The typical format involves an evening affair featuring a popup bar, DJ vibes, a standout performance, and a runway showcase featuring three brands at Collins Place.

Seamless public movement: prioritising uninterrupted public movement during set up and dismantling, meticulous traffic management measures were implanted, aligning with the distinctive runway concept.
Proactive problem solving: challenges were met with proactive solutions, securing early approval to rig from the space frame building structure and overcoming logistical hurdles for a triumphant execution.
Event lifecycle management: managing public access and movement throughout the event lifecycle required preplanning, with strategic scheduling of stage riser installation after hours to mitigate disruptions.
Harmonious lighting design: the hockey stick stage design was mirrored in the lighting rig, ensuring even white lighting along the runway. Thoughtful selections, including low energy LED lighting and strategic audio speaker placement, minimised power consumption and optimised event coverage.
